I was able to repay my mortgage. The difference to my life is incredible - I can stay in my house for the rest of my life without having to make any more monthly mortgage payments which were becoming a struggle.
To be honest I have a bit of money tied-up in my home, as most people at retirement age do, and I would quite like to get rid of my monthly mortgage repayments. Sounds like an option to seriously think about, especially if you say it has made life much less of a struggle!
